Story

Owner and Chef Kim Nguyen began cooking with her beloved mother at an early age. In the mornings, the loving pair would venture out to the local market and farm to gather fresh ingredients for that night’s dinner. They spent their days carefully washing, cutting, and prepping their ingredients before combining each element to create a delectable dish. Their nights were filled with joyous laughter and true serenity as family recipes were passed down from one generation to another.

These eternally cherished and gleeful moments spent with her mother evoked a strong love for the culinary arts at an early age, a love which only strengthened as she grew into late adulthood. After years of whimsical dreaming, detailed planning, and finally executing her ideas, Madame Saigon opened its doors in 2014 in Honolulu’s bustling business district.

Kim aims to bring healthy and delicious Vietnamese cuisine to the place she has been fortunate to call home for the last four decades. In this endeavor, she can spread the loving spirit of her late mother and share their generations-old family recipes with all who step foot into Madame Saigon.

From our family to your very own, we invite you to dine with us.
